Chapter 3 Creative Writing

Creative writing helps children learn to think outside of the box and leads to the development of problem-solving skills. It is believed to focus on students’ self-expression and involves more than putting words together to form sentences. Students are to carefully select words, plan the storyline, develop strong characters and revise and edit his or her work. Writing about something they choose to write about helps children practice good grammar and spelling skills without seeming like a lesson or work.
Sokolova L.L.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Every Day Is Good

Today is a day

And I’m feeling good.

Tomorrow’s a day

And I will feel better

Because every day

Is closer and closer

To that very cool day

When you’ll send me a letter.

Жил был злобный дед с бородой,

Он очень боялся порой,

Что птицы, живущие в бороде,

Поселяться и у него в голове.

Вот такой злобный дед с бородой.

There was a little gnome who lived behind the Moon.

Washing the Moon he spent his Saturday afternoon.

The Moon became so bright

That he couldn’t sleep at night.

Poor little gnome who lived behind the Moon.
